Equal opportunity baby

Ok, ok, I have finally been forced to concede that the not-too-disgustingly-pink-and-girly wardrobe that I had championed for my daughter is starting to have its drawbacks.

I should explain. My beautiful little baby girl keeps being called a gorgeous little fella. One girl in Tesco said she was going to run away with ‘him’. A woman in Dundrum said that ‘he’ was very alert for a newborn. Someone up the hill told me how cute ‘he’ was in ‘his’ little carrier.

So enough is enough. No more accepting second-hand clothes from my nephews or buying things that I would wear. Until she is big enough to have a personality or has hair long enough to plait (we shouldn’t have too long to wait for that), we’ll have to stay clear of unisex. Or rompers with trucks on them.
